Act Now! …and tomorrow will be even better.
Ottens' corporate citizenship program, Act Now, brought our staff together to provide 40 Thanksgiving meals for dozens of needy people this holiday. Ottens employees gladly teamed up to donate money, shop for food, sort, box and deliver the nutritious, full course meals to ACHIEVEability, a non-profit group in southwest Philadelphia that helps support single-parent families. Included were 18-20 pound turkeys which were provided by the company.
The staff at ACHIEVEability greatly appreciated the many boxes of donated food, which Ottens employees helped distribute at the organization's Computer Learning Center. Through the efforts of ACHIEVEability, Ottens and other members of the community, more than 134 families, including 282 children, received nutritious Thanksgiving dinners this year. Ottens is pleased to have had this opportunity to brighten the lives of people who are in need of assistance this Thanksgiving. We will continue this tradition in years to come.
